Of course, I wanted to write about it as a joke. I was going to begin with an intro stating something to the effect that I always try to recommend good cinema.

But conscience won't let me play that joke on you. The movie is really that bad. Abused teen Angela flees home, is sheltered by a lecherous priest, and sexually exploited by all she meets.

Only with mangled vignettes, jump cuts, smash cuts, blood, simulated violence, gore, heaving breasts, full frontal nudity, incoherent babbling, dancing bears.

Lots of it. Anyway, back to the "plot," or lack of it. Drug addicted, alcoholic, and repeatedly used as a sexual bucket, a fed-up Angela refutes all worldly good, and makes a pact with Satan in return for His protection.

It doesn't work out well. After setting fire to the priest's church, Angela descends into stripping and prostitution, merely spiraling ever more furiously hell-bound, with lots of blood, gore, heaving breasts, full frontal nudity, vomit of course, and- oh wait, we already covered that.

Just imagine that and think how gloriously ridiculous that sound, a beautifully shot, touchingly narrated horrendous piece of shit.

Me: Ok but what that mouf do I don't take a movie called "Slaughtered Vomit Dolls", directed by a guy called "Lucifer Valentine", who coined the horror sub-genre of "vomit gore" just for this trilogy of movies, and think "Damn this is gonna be the pinnacle of modern cinema!!

I do have some fucking standards. Sure, if you just want to see vomit, blood, and vaginas then maybe this is the movie for you. Maybe it has everything you want.

But the delivery, my god the piss-poor delivery. There aren't even words for this spazzy bullshit. The horrible editing. The horrendous camera work.

I can't even comment on the acting because I'm pretty sure these weren't actors. This is a snuff film. But I don't…. It feels like a seizure put to film which, if you can handle it, can be good or bad.

Angela Aberdeen is an amazing character who speaks so loudly to my former sixteen-year-old self. Her depiction and explanation of the nightmare that is Bulimia is harrowingly accurate.

The editing is gorgeous and the sound design is oddly intoxicating. At times, the story becomes difficult to follow, but the ending makes it all worth it.

This film has stuck with me for years. This film obviously isn't for everyone, but if you like extreme cinema and can stand the sight of vomit, it's absolutely worth jumping into with an open mind.
