Top reviews from other countries. Much like Hot Shots! The plot is about a microfilm that has instructions of how to hide drugs in innocent looking cookies, and two cops have to recover it.

The film isn't really laugh out loud funny, and some of the jokes are more miss than hit, but it's wonderful to see so many good cameos put to even better use the Bruce Willis one is priceless.

The only bad thing about this film, is that it's dated, due to the nature of it's topics. Many now wouldn't get the Silence Of the Lambs, or Basic Instinct references, even though they are blatantly obvious.

The reason why many wouldn't get them now, is because the scenes that are parodied here, were so overplayed in the early nineties, that they were almost begging to be spoofed.

All in all, if you are a fan of the action genre, you will get something from this, even though it's pretty throwaway stuff.

It's another fun movie from a time when you could just make comedy movies in style. I bought this at a budget price and it was was well worth investing in as there are some very good parodies of films such as "Basic instinct" and good cameos particularly by Bruce Willis.

William Shatner ably supported by "Henchman" Tim Curry supply the menace and a very memorable gag about "Worst nightmare"!!

Kathy Ireland supplies the "Love" interest and if you like National Lapoon films this one is definately worth adding to the collection.

The film runs for 70 minutes but only rarely flags as there are plenty of gags and visual effects to keep the attention.

I wanted to revisit this again as not seen it in years. Loads of great talent in this. My review though can be summed up in just 4 words. Unbelievably stupid but great still,with some faces most people from the 90s will recognise as cameos.

Kathy Ireland is excellent as the head of the Wilderness Girls Cookies. Loaded Weapon 1 is replete with sight gags. If one carefully watches you can see objects out of place, strange writing on walls, pictures on appliances, sub scenes just barely off center stage.

I recommend it for a good laugh to cheer you when you are sad, and to comedy lovers everywhere. Sam jackson plays his partner and the comedy is full on goofy slapstick goodness.
